Sorry I can't make the 40th but have great memories of the 30th, which was a total blast.  Thanks to all the reunion organizers this year.  I'll definitely make the 50th!  (And if the word now is that there will be a 45th, I'll make that one, too.)

When I left Waco in 1969, I could hardly have imagined that I would end up as the head of a national research library of early American history -- in Massachusetts!! -- but I've been here 17 years now (after 9 years in Philadelphia) and am loving it still.  The library is in Worcester, just 45 minutes west of Boston; do drop by if you're ever up this way.  My husband Frank Armstrong is more active than ever in his "retirement," teaching a full load of photography courses at Clark University and scanning 50+ years of film negatives into his huge digital archive.  Good thing storage is cheap.  Our daughter Libbie is 27 and works at a Worcester museum where they have just opened an exhibition that can only be described as "fabulous"  -- http://tiny.cc/cBCn9.  Life is good.

Hey, Coby, I too remember the feeling of being younger than our classmates (my birthday is the day after yours), but that's our advantage now, right?

We have been in Canada since 1994, so I had pretty well lost touch with the RHS bunch.  I tried to find out about our 40th back in the spring but was unsuccessful.  Thanks to Tommy McGee for contacting me.  Maybe I can make it to the 45th.

I graduated from Baylor in 72, left Waco for grad school, and haven't lived in Texas for over 30 years.  I was an academic dean and seminary professor for 11 years and am now directing a special urban training project in Vancouver.  Been married for 37 years.  We have two sons and one grandchild.

I'd love to hear from other 69ers.

Married a University High School guy 37 yrs ago.  Baylor grad, 2 daughters.  Moved to FL, MS, and GA with my husband's job (McLane Company).  Back in Temple for the last 16 yrs.  For 8 yrs, I worked at Scott & White in fundraising for children with cancer.  Now retired but still volunteering often in many organizations.  Help coordinate and attend summer camp for cancer kids.  Have been amazed and overwhelmed at the generosity of others when we've been planning this reunion.  Please come join us for a magical weekend and reconnect to a time long ago.  It will be good for your soul.

Have been married 37 years, living in San Antonio since 1979.  I was a stay-at-home mom until my kids were almost out of high school.  I've been back teaching for 5 years.  The list of classmates planning to attend the reunion looks like a great group.  It will be fun to re-connect and find out what everyone has been doing these past 40 years!!!!

I unfortunately moved to PA for my senior year and ended up going to two different high scools that year.  Interestingly enough I have never received any correspondence from the "actual" high school I graduated from.  Once a Texan, always a Texan as displayed on my license plate (X-Tex) and my 2 tatoos (yellow rose & bluebonnet) Send Beth a MessageSend Beth a Message

What a great website. The reunion sounds like great fun and I wish I could make it. At this point I have a conflict and it doesn't look good, but I'm really glad I made the earlier ones. They generated great memories. A word of wisdom to those who will be attending: Keep the defibrillator in sight at all times.

Hello everyone, My summer has been good to me. My husband, John, and I went to the Grand Canyon for vacation. We rode the train from Williams Az. to the south rim. It was so relaxing and beautiful there. We had lots to eat and more to see. We even went to Flagstaff to the Observatory. The down side to that was the big telescope building was under repair and we didn't get to look through it. :-( We had fun with different things we saw. Like the smoke on the mountains from the control burns they do. I said it was the Indians sending smoke signals to us. When we were driving during the night we were seeing red blinking lights in the distant. I said we were entering twilight zone. It was the solar wind mills. John passed his state test for his license for Auctioneer. We are going to do auctions online soon. Once we get that going. I am in hopes to retire. I look forward to retiring and enjoying the simple life without a time clock ticking. My son is moving his family to Alaska. I hope we are able to visit them. I love seeing all my old RHS friends at the monthly dinners. That is a part of my past that I cherish. Love to all and may God bless you. Send Carolyn a MessageSend Carolyn a Message

retired CPA/Artist Married
I've been married for almost 38 years with no children.

I believe I went to the 20th reunion.  I don't know where to start on what I've been doing.  For the past 20 years, my husband Phil (grad of '68 WHS) and I have been living in Oakland, CA.  For the past 10 years, we have been splitting our time between Incline Village, NV and Oakland.  It gets hectic at times but so hard to decide where to live.  I quit working as a CPA (my own business) about 15 years ago.  I started watercolor painting.  Who knew that an accountant could paint?

I work closely with the Oakland Museum of California as a volunteer raising money for art acquisitions, education and membership.  It is very exciting to me.

We love to travel.  Fortunately, we both enjoy very good health and have active lives and wonderful friends.
