Hi Everyone !  I am so sad to miss this 50th reunion.  Unfortunately, timing turned out to be inopportune. I was waiting until the last minute to respond, hoping that I would be able to actually make it. The whole weekend sounds awesome. Hearing from anyone on Facebook or on this site always makes me smile with the memories of you and always so happy to "keep up"!  It amazes me how it's now 50 years since high school graduation.  I will miss you and am looking forward to lots of photo sharing, please!  I wish you all well.  Thank you to those who so diligently maintain this site and who have contributed their effort to make the reunion happen!

Hello classmates,
I am counting the day till June 6,7,8 gets here. I want to hug, take your picture and get you to sign my year book. I want to hang on to all the memories that I can. Yes, some of you may remember that I like to dance and I still do. I have found a couple of classmates and they plan to come for at least one of the events.  I will see all of your smiling faces soon.

Impromptu, casual reunion being discussed for weekend of June 8-9-10.  More info when we find a host hotel and locations for gatherings but it\'s not a formal RSVP reunion like the 40-yr reunion.  Just a weekend to gather and visit and catch up with dear friends.  Mark your calendars, make your flight reservations, dust up on the school song, and come join us!

I was looking at the page listing those of us who are no longer here, I knew most of those folks, did not just go to school with them, I knew them, we studied together, we played together, we sang and danced together way back when, how did they pass on without my even knowing it, I am sad we have all grown apart over the years and that we have all moved on to different lives...life is not fun all the time, and time is short as many of us are 61 and older....

Please take a few minutes and review the link on the left side of this page, "Lost Classmates."  If you can help me find these classmates, please send me an email or call me with information. It is particularly difficult to find the gals because we do not know their married named. We simply must find these classmates and contact them before the 45th reunion. Thank you very much.

Friends and classmates:   the reunion committee met tonight for a wrap-up session and got so excited about our 45-yr reunion that we decided to go ahead and set a tentative date!!  How's that for getting ahead?  Our next official reunion will be Fri/Sat/Sun June 6/7/8 of 2014.  The countdown has already begun on the front page of this web site.  I'm sure they'll be plenty of gatherings, dinners, picnics, and such between now and then because no one wants to wait another 5 yrs to see each other!

Dear Committee:
You folks did a splendid job in getting us all together, unlike the photographer.  I so enjoyed visiting with friends from the past even though I was in absolute agony.  Thank you Bevo for your diagnosis.  Went to the doctor Monday and it was broke.  Now I am on crutches for six weeks with a funny looking shoe.  I look forward to #45 and promise to push, pull, or drag Flanders in 2014.

Friday night was more than wonderful and exceeded all of our expections. The friendship, hugs, kind and sincere words, and wonderful conversation brought back so many memories.  This was such an emotional experience for many of us. To our classmates who came from out of town and out of state; thank you so very much for all of the effort you put into this reunion by coming and sharing yourself with the rest of us. During the evening, there was a noticable exchange of phone numbers and addresses.  What a wonderful way for us to keep up with each other.  Can't wait for Saturday night!!

To My Fellow Classmates Who Are Undecided About Attending The Reunion,

I want you to know,  because we have not seen that you have RSVP'd or purchased tickets, you are already being thought about and missed a great deal. My hope is that we will have a 45 year reunion. However, some of us, that have already purchased tickets for the 40 year reunion, will not be here for the 45th. Some of you, who have not purchased your tickets for the 40th reunion, will also not be with us for a 45 year reunion. This may be the absolute last opportunity, for some of us, to renew our friendship and remember the good times we had at Richfield. I do realize that current health issues may keep you from joining us. You might be half way across the world and not be able to come to Waco. That is understandable. However, we still need to hear from you. Please, go to the "Classmates" link and log-in. Please let everyone know something about you that we can share with other classmates. This way, we can at least email each other and share many woncderful memories of Richfield. Please...as stated earlier, from one of our reunion committee members, this reunion is not about age, wrinkles, weight, or gray-headedness. It is about reconnecting with friends and letting those who do come to the reunion know that in some small or big way, they were are part of our life that we will always cherish and  remember. I appreciate the way Andy Waden articulated his feelings. He said: "When is the last time you told someone you loved them?" Please, come to the reunion, so we can tell you we love you and care about you very much.

Hi.  Although I left Richfield HS and Waco in 1967, Waco had some great memories for me.  I attended Lake Air JHS, then Richfield.  My family moved back to Colorado and I graduated from Manitou HS.  I'm hoping I can attend the reunion and possibly see some folks that I have missed for a long time.

It is so exciting to see the list of "found" grow each day. Thanks to everyone who has helped with this effort. We started with an outdated list, for the most part, & tried to find as many email addresses as possible and to confirm the others. It has been a slow, but rewarding adventure. However, we still have a list of classmates for whom we have no confirmation of a current address. Please review that list, contact anyone you know &/or send us any information/tips you might have. Our search continues @ this time & will continue, as we retain this website & build our database for the 45th+. Thanks for your help!

Our reunion weekend is approaching & I just wanted to encourage all of you who can to attend. Last Friday night my sister, Janet, & I "crashed" the WHS'69 meet & greet & had a fantastic time visiting with dear friends from Brook Ave Elementary, Lake Air JH, Columbus Ave Bapt, WHS, etc. Although I had talked of attending, when the time came I almost changed my mind; but now can not imagine having missed that opportunity. With our mom and dad both now gone, in the last 21 months, spending time with people who knew us "back when" was very comforting. And we have a list that is much too long of classmates no longer with us. Please come join us- as Debbie said somewhere, it'll be good for your soul, and ours, - I can now vouch for that!

Imagine the shock of discovering that I was one of the "lost classmates". I can't imagine how I got lost. I have been here at Lake Travis for nearly 20 years and have received announcements for prior reunions and have attended a couple. I would love to attend and will work it out if at all possible. Yes I am still married to Patsy (Amick) of the class of  '70.

Hey all you ex-Lake Air classmates, from a would-have-been RHS class of '69er. It's been a long time since the 8th grade, but would love to catch up with all of you that might remember me from Leopard football, basketball and band that 8th grade year. (anyone know what became of Coach Rhea and Coach "shiny-tiny"? :>)  I'm an audio-for video engineer type in Dallas, and hope to maybe show up and crash one of the reunion gatherings next month.

I would love to hear from some you!

Well, what can I say.  Class of '69 was one of my all time favorites.  Thank you for letting me be a small part of your youth adventures at Richfield High School.
Looking forward to seeing you all.  We may not recognize each other at first, but it will not take long to remember.

Hey we need your help!
The response towards our 40th reunion has been great; however, in order to finalize our plans, we need for you to purchase your tickets.  These funds will be applied towards the decorations, food, music, photographer and the Hilton's rental deposit for Saturday evening.  At this point we have enough for a bag of balloons, a dollar meal, a radio, a Kodak funsaver camera and the beautiful Hilton's Brazos Room.  We would like to do a little more for our fellow classmates!
As most of us have heard from our children at some point in time, PLEASE SEND MONEY"! Remember you can purchase your tickets via the website or the mail.  July 11th will be here before w know it.  Thanks!

I'm so looking forward to my first reunion since our 10th.  Thanks so much to all involved in the organizational hard work.  I'm sure we've all changed for the better, just as a fine wine (like a bottle of Mateus-ugh!).  I know I'm still blonde-albeit a few lighter shades!!  Can't wait to see everybody!

This looks like a great reunion.  I'll be there if I can.  Hope everyone is doing well.  I live in a little town in East Texas, Linden.  I just retired from the school system a little over a year ago.  Don and I have one daughter, Kacy, who is married and teaching at the University of Tampa.  Would love to hear from someone!!!

I so hate to think I will miss this. It has been 20 years since I made one!
My regret is that I won't be there unless something unexpected happens. I will be in the heart of Ukraine on July 11th.

Well, I do get to Waco often. My parents are still there but failing rapidly, so I have short visits every two months.

Love to see all of you! Maybe I can see some of you on one of my quick trips.

I really am so anxious to see everyone.  I was living in Austin since 1999 and have seen some of you before I moved to Virginia.  A few years ago we had a reunion of just the  varsity choir and that was so much fun.  It will be wonderful to see the rest of the Class of 69.  What a great class we had.  So many memories  For me being a part of that great basketball team we had and being in "The Music Man" particularly brings back so many memories. I'm very proud of being a part of such a great school and sharing that experiience with so many incredible classmates.  Everyone, come if you can.  Thanks to the committee for all the hard work.  God Bless all of you.

Well said, Betsy!  If you are hestitating for any reason about coming to this reunion, let it go.  It's not about wealth or weight or wrinkles, it's about friends and memories and good times.  It's about sharing a time we can never recreate.  Please join us!
